My paternal grandmother, whom I loved probably more than my parents, had a hillside next to the stream that ran through our farm planted with daffodils. I remember the sea of yellow when they were in bloom. Those flowers are special to me. My grandmother died Feb. 11 when I was 13. That was 52 years ago and I still miss her dearly!
