On Memorial Day we Americans hang our flag, wear red shirts and blue
shorts and remember our military men and women who have sacrificed for our
country. That is a good thing to do.
Memorial Day is a patriotic holiday. It is also a time to
remember others who have died; not just military folk; but all people whose
lives have made this world; this country; this town; this family a better place to
live.
Of course, the one we should most remember on Memorial Day
and every day is the One who gave his life not only for our country and for our
lives but for every person in every country in every age for our eternal lives.
Jesus.
Happy Memorial Day to you all.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we humans so love to
celebrate and find ways to remember important people and events. In all things,
remind us that you so loved the world that you gave your only Son, Jesus, that
whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have eternal life. Thank you,
Jesus. Amen.
WHAT ABOUT YOU? Any special holiday plans?

Hey Carol, we had a good day, family cookout in the afternoon. It was fun!! Hope you had a good one too!!
@ Chris - yay for family fun. We pretty much had the same day on this side of the country.
I spent the day with Sarah--being her assistant in helping her set up her quarter's final sculpture project. It was fun being on a college campus for the day. I took my bike so I had the whole experience. Thank you to the military men and women who gave their lives so that I could enjoy a wonderful day of freedom with my daughter.
@ Pam - what a great time you must have had with Sarah. Our thanks to Daniel and your whole family for his service and our freedom!
I am so thankful that God protected my son so that he wasn't seriously hurt or killed.
